Privacy policy

Last updated: 17 October 2026

This policy explains what information the Android game Captain of the Ship (“the game”) uses, and why. The game is made by Captain of the Ship Games, an independent developer based in Egypt.

The short version

Information saved on your device

The game saves your progress (your ships, coins, ranks, upgrades and achievements) and your settings (music and sound volume, vibration) in a file on your phone. This file is never sent to us. Uninstalling the game, or clearing its storage in your phone's settings, deletes it from your phone.

If backup is turned on in your phone's settings, Android may include this file in your phone's own backup to your Google account, so your progress can come back when you install the game again. This backup is handled by Google, and you can turn it off in your phone's settings.

We do not run our own servers, and we do not collect, store or sell any personal information about you.

Google Play Games saved games

If you are signed in to Google Play Games on your phone, the game keeps a copy of your game progress (the same information as the file described above) in your Google Play Games account, so you can continue on a new phone or after installing the game again. This copy is stored by Google under Google's privacy policy and is never sent to us. The game shows your Google Play Games name in its Settings, but does not store it.

You do not have to sign in to play. You can delete the saved copy in your Google Play Games settings.

Reminders

If you agree, the game sets reminders on your phone, for example when your harbor is full of coins or your daily gift is ready. The game never sends reminders at night. The reminders are set by the game on your phone itself: no information is sent to us or to any server to deliver them. You can turn them off at any time in the game's Settings or in your phone's settings.

Ads

The game uses Google AdMob to show ads, including optional ads you can choose to watch for an in-game reward. To show ads, measure them and prevent fraud, AdMob may collect and process information such as:

This information is handled by Google under its own policies. You can read how Google uses information from apps that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the game asks for your consent before personalized ads are shown. You can change your choice at any time with “Ad privacy choices” in the game’s Settings.

You can reset or delete your advertising ID at any time in your phone's settings, in the Google or Privacy section under Ads. After that, ads may still appear but will be less personalized.

Google Play

When you download the game from Google Play, Google processes information about your download and your Google account under Google's own privacy policy. We receive only general statistics from Google Play, such as the number of installs, which do not identify you.

Children

The game is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the game, contact us and we will help remove it.

Security

Because the game keeps your progress on your phone, its safety depends on the security of your device. Information collected by AdMob is protected by Google.

Changes to this policy

If the game changes in a way that affects your privacy, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
